About the d'Arcy Doyle Art Awards

The Awards are a fitting tribute to one of Australia's most popular artists, d'Arcy Doyle. He lived and painted in Mudgeeraba from 1973 till his death in 2001. Between 1986 and 1993, he was Australia's top selling artist, both in quantity and money value. Apart from his art, this award will help to perpetuate his name into the future. d'Arcy painted mainly landscapes, horses and typically Australian characters.

The d'Arcy Doyle award has quickly gained a reputation for good quality art at reasonable prices. It is recognised as one of the better art shows, not only in Queensland, but further afield.
