The "Mudgeeraba Foundation" (MF) is a private charitable trust fund established and financed in June 1999 by Dr Peter Ochsenbien who acts as the sole director of it's Trustee "Mudge Pty Ltd".

A main asset of the Foundation (whose original name was "Mudge Foundation") is the "Mudgeeraba Foundation Centre" (MFC) at 7 School Street, in the heart of Mudgeeraba. The MFC which contains a modern hall with foyer, an undercover car park (16 spaces) and a Caretaker's residence, is used by qualified organisations active at least partially in Mudgeeraba and environs (mainly Gold Coast). It is able to offer low fees due to the non-overhead and strictly not-for-profit character of the MF.

The activities supported by the Foundation include the areas:

• health & environment
• art & culture and
• education & sport.

In addition to placing MFC at the community's disposal, the MF also directly supports organisations, institutions or persons active in these areas by donations of tied grants and may honour them with the "Mudgeeraba Foundation Award" (MFA). Furthe, the MF may provide interest-free loans for planned or running projects within the above defined scope.
